It is said, when life begins it is like and open book with many blank pages. Each day as we live, our deeds or recorded chapter after chapter until we close our eyes in death and slip away into eternity, and so it was for Fred Lee Harris Jr.
on November 25th, 1950 a baby boy was born to red L. Harris Sr. and Estella Brown Harris in Craw, Arkansas. He was a loving addition to the Harris family. As a youngster he relocated with his family to Missouri, where he attended the public school system and later graduated.
Fred enjoyed life, and was an outdoorsman. He spent time reading and traveling. He like being in the company of family and friends, and he never met a stranger.
His entire career was spent in the transportation industry and worked as a bus operator. His last employment being with Greyhound.
On January 30, 1970, Red and Rachel Johnson, were united in holy matrimony in Missouri, and they enjoyed a loving relationship for 43 years. Their children Greg, Chad, Pam, Freda, Ephraim and Angelica Harris were the recipients of their love and devotion.
On September 7, 2013, Fred surrendered his soul and went home to eternal rest. Preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Leaving behind to cherish his memory his wife, Rachel, his children Greg Harris, Chad Harris, Pam Harris, Freda Harris, Ephraim Harris, Angelica Harris, ten grand children, six siblings and a host of other relatives and friends.
