Obituary

Reflections of Her Life…
Mrs. Evelyn Taylor was born in Wagoner, Oklahoma to the proud parents of Henry and Luetishie Jones. Evelyn was the 4th oldest of 10 children. She is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Luther Jones, Travis Jones, Vian Smittich, Alberta McKnight, Lois Durant and Willie Jones. Two grand daughters Dana Jordan and Melanie Haynes.

Evelyn was employed at Tulsa Regional Hospital as a monitor tech, until she retired at the age of 62.

She loved listening to gospel music, espeically the Clark Sister’s and Shirley Ceasar. One of her hobbies crocheting, and she made beautiful afghans for everyone in the family. Evelyn waws also a huge baseball fane. Don’t try to talk to her while she was watching a game, it was pointless.

She was a strong woman who loved her family dearly, she taught her children to love God, work hard, and to always treat others as you would want to be treated.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children Bobby Dean Johnson (Sonny). Maxine (Rev. Leonard) Gail, Lesa, Jason, Janine (Phil), Jana and Jimmy (Tracy),siblings Wanda Ransfer of Sherman Oaks, California and Johnny Hones (Thomacyne) Los Angeles California, A host of grandchildren , great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Viewing for Ms. Taylor will be held on Wednesday February 6, 2013 1:00-5:00 pm.

Services will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2013 11:00 am at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Sapulpa, Ok. Rev. H.T. Busby, Host Pastor.
