Reflections of a Godly Mother…
Her children will arise up and call her blessed, her husband also and he praiseth her.. Prov. 28:31

From the union of Sadie McDaniel and BEnjamin M. Scott a baby girl was born. On the cusp of American’s Great Depression, Dorothy Mae Scott entered this world on July 24, 1930. She left this world on August 17, 2012 while living in Phoenix, Arizona. dorothy grew up in Arkansas and made her pact with God at an early age. After her marriage to Prince Grant, she aligned herselft with his religious affiliation and regularly sent the children to a Methodist Church.

Later in life she united with St. John Baptist Missionary Church in Little Rock, AR and continued to be an active member there4 until she moved to Tulsa, OK. She often told us about her intreractions with the WMS and BTU. After moving to Tulsa Ok, in 1978, she later untied with Progresssive Baptist Church under the pastoral care of Rev. English.

Due to safety concerns and her becoming immobile. Ms. Ball moved away to Phoenix, AZ to live with her youngest daughter Sebrenia Colbert. Her husband REv. Willie Ball preceded her in death as well as a son Archie Grant and baby siser Bessie Carter.

She leaves a host of relatives and friends to cherish her nemory; her eldest sister Rosie Banks and son Carl Grant of Little Rock, Ar; sons Wayne and Marlin Grant of Detroit MI; Dennis Gran, Brenda (LeRoy Jr) Lark Carolyn Grant; Sylvia Blue and Cedric (Phyllis) Ball.
