Reflections Of His Life

On June 10, 1978, a baby boy was born to Orvelester and
Deborah. He was given the name Orvelester Owens Jr., affectionately called “OJ”,

As a child, OJ loved anything tht brought him humor and he wanted to be a part of it; even if it wasn’t humourous to others. He loved watching movies (Madea) with his family, especially his sisters (if he could keep them awake).

OJ was a loving, supportive and extremely wise person who would help anyone he could. He was free-spirited and very curious. OJ, loved his family and he did not have favorites. If you were family, you were family. He had a sense of humor, only he could understand OJ loved to tell and play jokes on peoplel

OJ leaves to mourn his passing: mother Deborah Armstrong, father Orvelester Owensk Sr. sisters,Sherina Owens, Seglinde Owens,all of Tulsa, four brothers, Chris Hill, Washington DC, Hillard Owens, Texas, Ezra Owens, Tulsa, OK and Titus Owens, Tulsa OK. two beautiful daughters, Ombare Janae Owens,Tulsa, Ok; Ateia Morris-Owens, Oklahoma City, grandmothers Mavis Owens, Tulsa Ok, Lenora Cole, Bristow, OK, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and an immeasurable number of extended family.

Viewing will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 1:00-5:00 pm at Dyer Chapel Tulsa

Services will be held on Saturday,
June 16, 2012 at 11:00am Calvary Baptist Church 412 N. 7th
Street. Sapulpa Ok.
