Reflections of Lavanna
It was a beautifl day on
April 11, 1947 in Tulsa Ok; when God opened up heavens gate and sent down an angel, she was given to Helen Mae Thornberry and William F. Abair. They named their precious dauher Lavana Elizabeth Abair.

During her life she livefd in Tulsa and Sand Springs, Oklahoma. She was blessed to have had siblings who made her life complete, Virginia Blake, William Abair, Fannie Mae Moore,Bruce Abair; Jacqueline BAiley; Cythina Abair, Clarence Abair; Sue Donna Abair, and one brother Prentice Ponds, along with her mother preceeding her in death.

While growing up in Tulsa, Lavana was a product of the Tulsa public School system, attending Dunbar Elementry, Carver Middle Schoo, and graduating from the historically acclaimed Booker T. Washington High School.

It was during her high school days at the ripe age of 18, that she et and fell in love with her classmate Lewis McNack. Thhey were joined in holy matirmony and enoyed many beautiful years together, bringin into their union four adorable children, Michelle Lewis Jr. Tawnya, and Lamont. Years later their marriage was resolved, but mainted a friendship until his passing.

Lavana enjoyed gardening, sweing, going to the casino, and junking (going to garge sales and resale shops). Her most precuious moments were spending time with her grandchildren, “after all they were the apple of her eye”.

Lavana was once again blessed to have met another fine gentleman Charles Norfleet, their love and friendship as a special one, they enjoyed many years together and as a result of their bond, twin Katawna and Lashana Norfleet, were a welcome addition to the family.

Lavana was a life long learner, she never met a stranger, she had the kind of personality that was contagious, when you met her y9ou instantly fell in love with her spirit, and you would definetly never forget her. Lavana had a great work ethic, and retired from American Airlines after 25 years of dedicated service.

It was Thursday, Mardch 15, tht Lasvan surrenderd her soul, and went home to ete4rnal rest, leaving behind to reflect on her living her father, William E. Abair, of Tulsa, her children Michelle, Lewis Je., Tawaya, Lamont, Katwana, Lashana all of Tulsa Ok; and a host of other relatives and friends.
