Obituary

It was 12:40 p.m. on Monday February 1, 1954, when a big, baby boy, weighing in at 8lbs 14 oz was born to the proud parents of Mr. & Mrs. CB Jefferson, (Juanita Virginia Mason Jefferson).

This man child was named Raymond Earl Jefferson. Raymond the first male child to the CB & Juanita Jefferson union, joined the family with two other female siblings, born in Moton Memorial Hospital, North Tulsa. After the births of four additional children, which consisted of five girls and two boys.

Raymond started walking at the early age of 7 months; some may say, “to keep up with his two older siblings,” At any rate, Raymond was a very fast learner, and advanced in his studies.

His early eductional years consisted of local school in the following Tulsa Public Schools. Charles S. Johnson, and Ralph Waldo Emerson Elementary , George Washington Carver Jr. High School, and Booker T. Washington High School.

Raymond excelled in academics as well as sports, and received a football scholarship to the University of Tulsa (Tulsa Oklahoma). He continued to study at Langston University- Tulsa.

Raymond transitioned to his heavenly home on Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at 0804.

Visitation for Mr. Jefferson will be Friday, December 9, 2011 1:00-7:00 pm
at Dyer Memorial Chapel.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 1:00 pm Sanctuary Evangelistic Temple
1228 E. 5th Street located at 5th & Peoria. Apostle Milford & Evelyn Carter, Host Pastors.
